Mississippi State commit Heath to visit Miami, others

Malik Heath ()

Malik Heath is content with his commitment to Mississippi State. The four-star prospect has plenty of good things to say about the program and categorizes his pledge as “firm.” That’s not to say he won’t look around, though.

The Callaway (Miss.) High School standout plans to visit Miami on July 15. That visit, it would seem, is set in stone. And while other trips may follow, he’s focused on learning more about the Hurricanes.

“I know one of the players from my high school goes to Miami,” Heath said. “I’m looking at them seriously. I’m looking at every school that offers me seriously.”

Heath lists Miami, Tennessee, Louisville and Alabama as schools still recruiting him hard following his commitment to Mississippi State. Once his upcoming trip to Miami is in the books, he’ll look to tour another school with which he remains in contact.

“I’m trying to take another visit to Louisville soon to see it again,” Heath said.

IN HIS WORDS: Mississippi State tells me everything I want to hear,” Heath said. “I like the school and the coaches. I just liked everything."

RIVALS REACTION: Heath’s commitment to Mississippi State seems to be on relatively solid footing. He’ll continue to look around and will likely take official visits down the road. The trips ahead could change things. His commitment will likely be tested in the year ahead, but Mississippi State has little about which to worry for the moment.
