Mississippi school takes lead for Jerry

Only one visit is forthcoming for Batesville (Miss.) South Panola offensive tackle, John Jerry.
Jerry, who likely will have to spend a year in prep school before playing at the Division 1-A level, will visit Ole Miss on Jan. 28. New Ole Miss coach Ed Orgeron is a big reason why the 6-foot-6, 315 pound athlete has the Rebels on top.

"Yeah man he is alright," Jerry said about Orgeron. "I think he's going to turn things around immediately."
The proximity of the Oxford campus to Jerry's home is another factor working in the Rebels' favor.
"The school is probably 18 minutes from my house so I'm going to check them out on Jan. 28," Jerry said. "I've made them the leader right now, but I'm also interested in Mississippi State and Southern Mississippi."
Jerry is currently slated for a Signing Day decision, but likely will. However, Ole Miss and its new coach have definitely sparked the interest in Jerry.
Jerry no longer is considering any out-of-state schools.
