Three-star Jackson (Miss.) quarterback

Jeremy Young
finds himself in a pretty good tug-o-war between arch-rivals Mississippi State
and Ole Miss.
"Mississippi State is still my leader, but Ole Miss is
working real hard," Young said. "Coach (David) Cutcliffe called me several
times, and the first two or three times I wasn't home, but he kept leaving
messages and eventually got a hold of me. He said he wanted to make sure he got
to talk to me personally, and how much they wanted me. That really stood out."
Young has also received calls from Mississippi State,
Georgia Tech, Southern Miss and Troy State. The 6-foot-4, 180-pound Provine High
School standout has scholarship offers from all of the teams who have contacted
him this month, as well as Auburn.
"My top five is Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Southern Miss,
Georgia Tech and Auburn," he said. "I probably won't make a decision until the
end of my season, but I'm starting to think about some visits. I plan on going
to the Mississippi State-Jackson State game this weekend. I'll be going to the
Ole Miss-Florida game two or three weeks from now."
Young, who passed for 1,160 yards and 17 touchdowns as a junior,
is one of the top-rated pro-style quarterbacks
in the nation. He got his senior season started with a bang, leading Provine to
a 2-0 start. Last week, he ran for three touchdowns and passed for another.
