Bobby Weakley has seen high
interest develop with Southern Miss in recent weeks, and is in the process of
finalizing an official visit for one of the next two weekends.
"Southern Miss has come on strong," he said. "They talked to me today and are real excited about me coming down to visit. Coach
Hobson says they like me as a fullback in their system, and that's a position on
their depth chart that doesn't have a whole lot of players right now. It could
turn out to be a good situation for me, so I'm going to go check them out."
Weakley (6-0, 211, 4.5) has made only one visit to date,
Jackson State. He says he's also getting interest from Ole Miss, Mississippi
State and Kentucky.
As a senior, he rushed for more than 1,000 yards and 10
touchdowns.
