Mississippi RB has big summer

Lumberton, Miss. running back Terry Grant has been a difficult young man to get on the phone this summer. However, Sunday afternoon Rivals.com caught up with Grant and he's picked up some impressive new offers.
"I have picked up offers this summer from Florida State, Alabama and Auburn in addition to the ones I already had," Grant said. "I went to camp at Florida State, but really didn't do much, but when I was there coach Andrews told me I had an offer. Auburn and Alabama both sent me offers in the mail before I went to their camps this summer. I went to LSU's camp, but I never heard back from them on an offer."

The 5-foot-10, 180-pound Grant attended the NIKE camp in Oxford where he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.45 seconds, ran the shuttle in 4.4 seconds and posted a 31-inch vertical jump.
"Right now I can't even say that I have a list of favorites," Grant said. "I am looking at every school that has offered me right now. I just want to wait until December and see how these teams do and really watch them closely during the season."
As a junior Grant carried the ball 285 times for 2,613 yards and 31 touchdowns. He also caught 18 passes for 411 yards and five touchdowns.
"I just really want to go to the best school for me," Grant said. "Distance doesn't matter to me at all, but I would really like to play early if I could. I won't be making an early decision, I'm going to check everything out first."
Grant is ranked as a three-star prospect and is ranked as the No. 12 player in the state of Mississippi by Rivals.com.
In addition to the NIKE camp, he attended camps at LSU, Alabama, Auburn and Florida State this summer.
