Three official visits are in the books for one of
the Magnolia State's top quarterback prospects.

Jeremy Young says he's scheduled visits for Southern Miss
(12/13), Ole Miss (1/10) and Mississippi State (1/17). A fourth will likely
be coming for Georgia Tech, he added.
"All of those teams are pretty much neck-and-neck,"
said Young, a member of the Rivals.com
Mississippi Top 30 team and
the No. 33 pro-style quarterback in the nation.
Young had been listing Mississippi State as a slight
leader at times during his recruitment, but says extra attention from the
other programs has helped level the playing field.
"Coach (David) Cutcliffe came by to see me last
week," he said of the Rebels' boss. "That left a pretty big impression on
me, the head coach coming by and all. I enjoyed sitting down and talking to
him about how I could be a big part of their team"
He also said the coaching shakeup at Mississippi
State has not affected his outlook on the Bulldogs. Glenn Davis paid him a
visit on Wednesday night to discuss the situation.
"Not at all," Young said. "I like their coaches and
I think they have a lot of talent there. They'll bounce back and have a good
season next year."
Young (6-4, 180, 4.6) passed for more than 1,200
yards and 18 touchdowns and rushed for 460 yards and seven scores as a
senior in leading Provine to an 8-3 record.
