Mississippi QB pulls early trigger

One of the state of Mississippi’s top quarterbacks has decided to end the recruiting process, according to his coach Cliff Davis of Eurpora, Miss., has made a commitment.
“He committed to Arkansas State last night,” Lance Pouge. “Steve Davis, the coach from Arkansas State, was here on Monday night and visited with him and his family. They decided to go ahead and go with school that wanted him and recruited him since the beginning.”

And with the commitment, Davis is heading to Arkansas State over offers from Southern Miss and Mississippi State. It appears that Davis will not take those two scheduled visits, which were set for the upcoming weekends. He was also thinking about visiting Louisville.
Davis visited Arkansas State back on January 10. Davis, who is 6-foot-5 and 205 pounds, is ranked as the No. 44 pro-style quarterback in the nation. He also is a three-star pick.
