Mississippi OL has a favorite

Brookhaven (Miss.) Academy offensive lineman Cory Bailey has one in-state program on top for his services at the moment.
Fresh off a solid showing at the Baton Rouge NIKE Camp, Bailey spoke with Rivals.com about his current top school and recruiting in general.

"Southern Miss is my current favorite," Bailey said. "I went to a Southern Miss home game last year, went to a scrimmage and had an unofficial visit as well.
"I want to major in sports medicine and the staff there is good. I like all of the coaches."
Mitch Rodrigue and Jay Hopson are recruiting for the Golden Eagles, who are the only program to extend a written scholarship offer to Bailey so far.
The 6-foot-5, 266-pounder's father attended Mississippi State. So naturally, the Bulldogs also are high on Bailey's list.
"I really like the atmosphere (in Starkville)," Bailey said. "My dad went there and I have friends there."
Shane Beamer is recruiting Bailey for the Bulldogs.
LSU and Auburn also are schools Bailey is interested in.
"I like the winning tradition at both of those schools," Bailey said. "They are both two good SEC schools."
Josh Henson is recruiting for the Bayou Bengals, Don Dunn for Auburn.
Bailey does not plan on waiting until Signing Day to make a decision.
"I think I'm going to commit early, during the first couple of weeks of the season," he said. "I'm not going to wait until December."
There are a number of factors he will be considering when he makes the final call.
"Academics are always first," Bailey said. "I want something to fall back on. I also want to like the atmosphere. I want good chemistry with the players and coaches and I also want to play early."
Bailey plans to camp at Auburn, LSU, Mississippi State and Southern Miss this summer.
