Mississippi OL gets first offer

Sardis (Miss.) North Panola offensive lineman Jermarcus Hardrick picked up his first scholarship offer on Tuesday. The offer came from and out-of-state school that just so happens to be one of the top programs in the Southeastern Conference.
"Auburn offered me today," Hardrick said. "(Tigers offensive line coach) Hugh Nall called my coach and right after practice he told me he had some good news and said he had my offer sent off and it should be there Wednesday."

The 6-foot-6, 325-pounder had good things to say about the Auburn program.
"It's a great school," he said. "They have a good winning tradition and I can see myself playing there. I think I fit in perfect because of their playing style. They said they are looking to bring in several offensive tackles this year."
Hardrick will attend one of Auburn's prospect camps this summer. Despite the early offer, Hardrick says there is no leader among the schools he is considering.
"I really don't have a leader right now," he said. "I'm still trying to weigh things out. I'm still getting interest from Florida, Ole Miss, Alabama and Houston is coming down on me really hard."
Hardrick will attend the Athens NIKE Camp on April 21 at the University of Georgia.
