Mississippi LB a big hitter

Hollandale (Miss.) Simmons linebacker Antonio White just wants to hit somebody.
"I am an aggressive linebacker," the 6-foot-2, 240-pounder said. "If you let me hit and play defense, I can play football all day long."

White has parlayed the big hits and his aggressive nature into two early scholarship offers, from Mississippi State and Ole Miss. The Rebels were the most recent school to step up to the plate with an offer.
"They offered me on Feb. 21," he said. "I really hadn't made a decision or anything like that, I'm just waiting to see what happens."
White is also drawing attention from West Virginia, South Carolina, Tennessee and Memphis.
"I would really like for Florida State to offer me," White said. "Also, I hope West Virginia and Memphis and the Florida Gators do."
A number of factors are going to play into White's final decision.
"It really depends on how the coaching staff treats me as a person and what position they are recruiting me as," he said.
White would like to play either outside or inside linebacker at the next level and added that he had no interest in playing defensive end or on offense in college.
White plans on attending the Mississippi State Junior Day on March 25 in Starkville. One of his favorite teams to watch was the 1999 Bulldogs squad.
"In my younger days, the best defense I saw was 1999 Mississippi State," White said. "That team with (defensive tackle) Willie Blade and (linebacker) Barrin Simpson."
White had 129 tackles and 13 sacks in leading his Simmons High squad to the 2A North Half State Championship in 2005.
