Mississippi fullback fielding calls

Three written offers and a verbal offer make up the recruiting process for two-star fullback Derrick Davis. The No. 20 rated prospect in the state of Mississippi doesn't look like he's going to stop there.
With schools like Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and Oklahoma State in the offer category, those are the most likely schools that will get visits. The 5-foot-11, 215-pound prospect is also waiting on a verbal offer to become a written one.

"Everybody is still calling, it's still pretty crazy," Davis said about his recruitment. "Ole Miss, Auburn, and West Virginia are the ones that call the most. Auburn is telling me to play hard and keep my therapy going well."
The therapy right now is due to the fact that Davis had a knee injury this spring that he has been recovering from. Things are going well on that front as Davis feels as strong as ever.
Now, he's thinking about visits.
"Mainly the schools that have offered are the ones that are probably going to get trips," Davis said. "All the schools are even, but if I have a scholarship from a school, I'm very interested in taking a trip."
Davis has yet to set up any trips, but will probably do that after his season comes to a close.
"After those, I'll make my decision," he said. "I want to take trips before I commit anywhere."
