Mississippi CB poised for offers

One of the Magnolia State’s top defensive backs is off to a huge start in his senior season.
“We’re 5-0 right now and ranked No. 1 in 5A,” said Batesville (Miss.) South Panola cornerback Demario Bobo. “I have 33 tackles and four interceptions so far. I returned one of them for a touchdown – 42 yards. I also have 10 pass breakups.”

Bobo (6-1, 175, 4.49) has a knack for making big plays. He picked off eight passes last season, returning two for touchdowns, and now has 24 interceptions for his career.
His cover skills have drawn one scholarship offer to date, Ole Miss, and he’s also receiving interest from Tennessee, Mississippi State, Florida, LSU, Alabama, Auburn and Southern Miss.
“Florida and Florida State are my favorites," he said. "I love the football atmosphere at those schools. I grew up watching Florida State and that's where I've always wanted to play.
"But Ole Miss and Tennessee are recruiting me the most. I’m not really set on anything until I see if I get some more offers.”
Regarding the Rebels, Bobo said: “I like their campus and the head coach. He’s a real nice guy. I like their defensive style, too.”
Bobo made an unofficial visit to Ole Miss for the Texas Tech game. He also saw Mississippi State’s game against Oregon.
“Both of those teams passed all over them, so I know they’re wanting some DBs,” he said, noting the 661 yards and seven touchdowns that the Red Raiders’ B.J. Symons hung on Ole Miss on Saturday in a 49-45 shootout.
