Mississippi ATH likes five

Rivals250 athlete Darius Barksdale has interest in several programs and believes he has multiple scholarship offers. But the Batesville (Miss.) South Panola standout hasn't been able to confirm any of those as he has yet to receive any mail indicating that schools wish to offer him.
"I might have some offers," Barksdale said. "But I haven't gotten any of the letters from my coaches, so I don't know."

The four-star rated prospect does know of two likely summer camp destinations, including one in the near future.
"I am supposed to go to Ole Miss tomorrow," he said. "I am also probably going to Alabama."
The Rebels and Crimson Tide are among five schools Barksdale knows he is interested in.
"I like Ole Miss because it's like my hometown team," he said. "They are getting a lot of players over there and they are fixing to get on the map."
Barksdale added that Rebels head coach Ed Orgeron came by South Panola High School to check on him during the spring evaluation period.
There are several things that stand out about Alabama as well.
"I like them a lot," he said. "They got a new head coach this year."
Barksdale also is interested in Florida, Georgia and Florida State. The 6-foot, 190-pounder likely projects as a safety in college, though running back is possible as well.
"It really doesn't matter," he said. "I would like to play both positions."
