Miramar target has his first offer
Miramar, Fla. wide receiver Terrance Gourdine has been waiting all spring for his first offer. It has now arrived and Gourdine is still looking for more. The 6-foot-1, 175 pound wideout has high expectations for the process ahead and high expectations for his senior season.
"I picked up an offer from FIU and I was talking to Oregon just now at practice," Gourdine said. "I've been talking to Michigan too."

With his first offer in, Gourdine is feeling a little less pressure but hopes to see more offers come his way.
"I'm looking for other colleges," he said. "It's a relief. It kind of builds my confidence now in knowing my name is getting out there but I know more scholarships will come."
Among the schools that have been showing interest in the South Florida product are Georgia, Texas Tech, Auburn, Boston College and LSU. While his list of interested schools consists of primarily out of state programs, that is just fine with Gourdine.
"I really want to get out of the state of Florida," he said. "I want to view more schools outside of the state because I've been here all my life. I just want to look at the life outside of the state."
Beyond the out-of-state preference, Gourdine will be looking at several factors in a program.
"I'm looking at coaching strategy, depth charts, not really location but just how the school is and how the coaches are."
Gourdine will be a piece of a high-powered offense at Miramar High School with four-star Rivals250 member Eugene Smith at quarterback and talented wide receivers Stedman Bailey and 2010 standout Ivan McCartney joining him as pass catchers. With spring practice approaching on Thursday, Gourdine sees more opportunity to perform.
"We officially start tomorrow," he said. "I'm very excited and ready to showcase my talent and show these scouts that I'm a major sleeper that needs to be looked at."
When setting personal goals for the upcoming season, Gourdine holds himself to a high standard.
"I have big expectations for myself," he said. "I set high goals that will kind of blow everybody's minds. I want to be the top receiver in the state of Florida in both receiving yards and receptions."
As Gourdine continues to work hard, watch out for his stock to rise.
