Minor impressed by N.C. State, hoping for more offers

It’s not that Jordan Minor’s four scholarship offers fail to excite him. The standout defensive back is excited by all three and has nothing but pleasant things to say about Toledo, USF, Tulane and Bowling Green. Instead, the reasons he declines to name a leader of the group are rooted in timing.

“I don’t really have a favorite because I’m 2018 and it’s early,” he said. “Right now, I’m just looking around.”

The fact that there are power-conference schools lurking certain doesn’t help the situation, though. And while the Florida-based Minor never comes right out and says it, it’s clear that he feels there are more offers in his future.

Why name a favorite when things are just starting to gain steam?

“South Carolina is talking to me a lot,” Minor said. “Florida, too. I’ve been up to Florida State too. So …”

IN HIS WORDS: “I just came back from some visits. I visited Clemson, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Florida State, Wake Forest … Surprisingly, I liked North Carolina State the best.”

RIVALS REACTION: There’s no way to venture any sort of accurate guess on what may become of minor. He certainly has the upside of a major FBS prospect, but until offers start to roll in, figuring out where he may land is impossible.
