Minor enjoys unofficial to VT despite loss

Richmond (Va.) Varina running back Brandon Minor took an unofficial visit to Blacksburg last weekend to witness the Hokies and Hurricanes clash. The 6-foot-0, 213-pounder is looking at both teams. What did the Rivals250 prospect think of the game?
"It was good, but Virginia Tech turned it over too much and Miami just took advantage of it," he said. "I think both teams are really good, but the Virginia Tech offense just wasn't ready to go and that can sometimes happen. I liked the way both teams were running the ball though.

"On my visit I also got to talk to coach Billy Hite, coach Cavanaugh and coach Beamer. They all just talked to me about the game and if I enjoyed my experience up there."
What did the four-star prospect think of the atmosphere at Virginia Tech?
"It was out of control there," he said. "It lasted the entire game through the fourth quarter and the fans really kept it up. I was kind of surprised."
Minor plans to take officials to Michigan on December 9th, Miami on December 16th and Virginia Tech on January 6th. He still isn't sure if he'll take a fifth to Florida.
This season the No. 6 player in Virginia has helped Varina to a 9-0 record.
"I just got back from injury and played in the last two games," he said. "I know I'm up to 300 some total yards on the season and nine touchdowns. It's pretty much back to normal for me, the injury isn't keeping me down as I'm feeling fine. We've got one more game left and then the playoffs are here and I think we're playing pretty well right now."
