Minnesota star narrows field to four

"Stanford and Notre Dame are still my top two," tight end John Carlson said. "And I'm looking at Minnesota and St. Cloud State."

Carlson, a 6-foot-6 and 220 pounder from Litchfield, Minn., has been a varsity starter since his freshman season. He caught 18 passes during his junior season. Carlson has a 3.9 GPA and scored a 28 on the ACT.
