Minnesota LB gets first offer

It's been a busy spring so far for Eden Prairie, Minn., outside linebacker Blake Sorensen, but the hard work on the football field, weight room and also on the baseball field has been paying off.
Sorensen was on his way home on Sunday from a baseball tournament in Florida, but his family still had very good news to report.

"He received a scholarship offer from San Diego State back on April 3," Sorensen's father, Ken, said. "Coach Chuck Long and Bob Elliott offered it to him. He's also getting looked at really heavily by Kansas State."
The Wildcats could be next in line to offer the 6-foot-1, 210-pound tackling machine. Sorensen finished his junior season with 105 tackles and was named first-team all-metro and second-team all-state by the Associated Press.
Iowa, Iowa State, Minnesota and Wisconsin are also heavily recruiting him. He camped last year at Iowa State and has been to a junior day at Minnesota. He's scheduled to visit Iowa's junior day on April 21.
