Mines Sets Third Visit

Fontel Mines is one of the top receivers in Virginia and is off to a good start. He's setting his officials and looking at four schools not far from home.
"I've set up official visits to Virginia, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest," said the 6-foot-5, 210 pound wideout. "I'm going to UVA on Nov. 15, I'll be at Tech on Nov. 29, and I'm going to Wake on Dec. 6th. I'm looking forward to all of them. It will be really exciting."

Mines likes those three schools, plus Tennessee. The three ACC schools have offered, but he's still waiting for Tennessee.
"I've caught 21 passes for about 450 yards," said Mines, who runs the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds. "I have six touchdowns as well."
Richmond (Va.) Hermitage is off to a great 6-0 start and has earned a Top 10 state ranking.
"I like the coaches at all four schools I'm looking at. Obviously Tennessee and Virginia Tech are near the top of the national rankings every year. I would like to see Tech pass the ball a little more. I feel like I could help them open up their offense with Marcus Vick waiting to play. Virginia is bringing in a lot of talent and Wake Forest is showing for the second straight year that they're one of the most underrated teams in the country."
Mines possesses tremendous size for a wide receiver and has solid speed. Some have compared him to former Ohio State receiver and current Arizona Cardinal David Boston because of his size and strength.
"I should know a lot more by early December. Hopefully Tennessee will have offered by then. I know I'll enjoy my officials."
