Mines returns from official trip

Richmond (Va.) Hermitage wide receiver Fontel Mines took an official visit to Virginia this weekend. Are the Cavs his leader?
"It's about the same which means that I like UVA a little better right now," said the 6-foot-5, 210-pounder who is also considering Virginia Tech. "The visit went really well. I had a great time."

Mines got to know a lot of the players and coaches a bit better.
"Well, my hosts were Lance Evans and Anthony Martinez and they showed us around. I went on the visit with my teammate, Duane (Brown) so they hosted both of us," he said. "We spent a lot of time in the dorms and getting to know the players and the college feeling. I also got to know the coaches a bit better.
"We also had some late nights and had to get up early which is also what I imagine will happen in college."
Despite the excellent visit and a big Virginia win over NC State, Mines didn't think about committing.
"I didn't want to get caught up in all the hype," he said. "I will see if I feel the same way towards the end of the week, so no, I didnt think about committing."
Mines takes his next official visit on Nov. 29 to Virginia Tech.
"After that one I'll decide," he said. "It's really still up in the air."
