Miners dig up two commitments
UTEP has gone into the Dallas Metroplex to snag two of its first known commitments for the class of 2005. The Miners have landed commitments from Dallas South Oak Cliff teammates Lance Castleberry and Val Taylor.
Castleberry, a 5-foot-9, 181-pound cornerback, has turned a blocked field goal for a touchdown this year. Taylor, a 6-foot-1 ½, 180-pound receiver, has a 70-yard touchdown reception this year.
Both players are scheduled to take an official visit to UTEP this weekend. They are scheduled to leave at 6 a.m. on Saturday morning, following a Friday night game against Ft. Worth Wyatt.
