Minemyer names five for officials

Three-star tight end Jeff Minemyer out of Ebensburg (Pa.) Bishop Carroll took an unofficial visit to West Virginia a couple weeks back on October 16th. What did the 6-foot-6, 245-pounder with 4.88-second speed think of the visit?
"That was a really good game and I had a good time," he said. "Everything there was great and the only thing that disappointed me was that they are recruiting me as an offensive tackle. The atmosphere though was great and I like that they've gone to bowl games."

Besides the Mountaineers, Minemyer plans to take officials to Rutgers, North Carolina State, Duke and Louisville.
"I like all those schools because they are recruiting me at tight end," he said. "They use a lot of tight ends and the offenses, especially Louisville's is great. They throw the ball all over the place. I also like that all five of the schools aren't too far away which allows my parents to come to a lot of my games."
The No. 24 tight end in the country plans to take his officials in late November and December.
This season Minemyer has helped Bishop Carroll to an 8-0 record and a No. 1 place in the district.
"I've done well so far this year as I have 15 catches for 180 yards and one touchdown. I've also added 45 tackles and two sacks on defense," he said. "I'm pretty happy with how I've done as I've seen a big improvement in my game even though we continue to run the ball a lot."
