Mims says hes a Spartan
"I committed to Michigan State today," Bloomfield Hills (Mich.) Andover linebacker Leon Mims said. "I talked to coach McElwain. I'm going there as a prefered walk-on.
"Michigan State's been my favorite the whole time. The coaching is great and the academics are great.

"I'm going to redshirt my first year, then I can earn a scholarship."
The 6-foot-0 and 235 pound Mims made over 100 tackles including 13 sacks during his senior season. He said neither Michigan State nor Tennessee State have offered a scholarship to this point.
