The Woodlands, Texas defensive end Kevin Mims has lined up a couple official visits and recently picked up another scholarship offer.
“Kevin is going to visit Texas Tech on Nov. 1,” Mims’ father Mike said. “Then the next weekend, he will go to Northwestern. Those are the only two visits he has set up so far.”
Mims was finally able to play an entire game last week when The Woodlands lined up against Spring, Texas.
“Every other game has been over by the third quarter or at halftime,” the elder Mims said. “That was a good game to be able to play the entire thing. He had a very good game.”
The game saw the 6-foot-4, 245-pound Mims pull down 11 tackles including three for losses and one quarterback sack.
One school recently stepped to the front with an offer for Mims.
“Colorado State called last night and offered him a scholarship. That is the most recent one he has received.”
Mims is currently holding scholarship offers from Northwestern, Texas Tech, Utah, Arizona, Baylor and SMU in addition to the Rams.
