Milton experiences SEC shock

It was a great day to be Jozie Milton, one the standout Clinton (La.) Silliman Institute defensive tackle is still trying to wrap his mind around.
"I still don't feel like it's true," Milton said. "It's crazy."
What exactly is "crazy"?
Well, this morning the 2015 defender found out he received his first offer. Not only was the offer his first, but it was an SEC offer.
Who did the honors? The Arkansas Razorbacks, that's who, and even after having a few hours to let it all sink in, it still has not.
To put it mildly, the offer was unexpected.
"At the beginning of last summer I got a lot of attention from them," Milton said. "I got a lot of letters from them but I definitely wasn't expecting an offer today. I wasn't expecting an offer from them at all."
In fact it was so unexpected when he found out he did not believe it.
"Honestly I found out from a couple of my friends," Milton said. "Then I went to the office and called my dad and asked him about it to see if they were telling the truth."
In fact, his friends' congratulations initially had a negative effect.
"I was getting ticked off because I thought they were joking with me," Milton said. "I was like that's not something to joke with. It was crazy."
After finding out, the offer was on the table, it was hard to wipe the smile from his face. He has yet to speak with the Arkansas coaching staff, but he does plan to do so soon. He also plans to take a trip to take a trip to Fayetteville in the near future.
"We're going to try to get up to Arkansas soon and I think we're going to try to get up to West Virginia sometime soon for a junior day," Milton said.
So how does he plan to hand the recruiting process from here?
Well, Milton does not plan to rush into anything, and he plans to step his game up another notch.
"I'm going to wait it out but I'm still going to work," Milton said. "After I heard I got an offer I had to step up my game a little bit in the weight room. I had to go crazy in there."
