Milo to join Kaaya at Miami

Bar Milo took an unofficial visit to Miami this summer. It was crucially important as the four-star offensive tackle reached his decision to commit to the Hurricanes on Wednesday.
The West Hills (Calif.) Chaminade standout loved the campus, the coaching staff and the fact that former high school teammate, quarterback Brad Kaaya, as a true freshman, was already named the starting quarterback.
So much fit perfectly for Milo that he decided to make his pledge.
"They were one of the first to give me a scholarship," Milo said. "After the visit, everything changed. I got to see the campus. I got to feel the humidity and it wasn't that bad.
"The coaches were great. I love coach (Art) Kehoe. All the coaches were fantastic. Brad being there, I really ask him all the time, 'Is it a good fit? Will I fit in here?' I tell him, being an out-of-state kid, (I'm worried) they look to the in-state players to try to have them start and he tells me that's not even the deal. He says they're going to play whoever comes to compete and I plan on doing that.
"It's a great school overall, a good business program that I can use to my advantage to get a degree at Miami."
The Kaaya factor is definitely of major importance to Milo, a 6-foot-5, 277-pound four-star recruit who also had Washington, Arizona State and Nebraska among his final contenders.
Not only will Milo have a familiar face once he arrives, but the four-star can get the real scoop on the program and everything else at Miami through his friend who is already experiencing it.
"Of course the coaches are going to sell their product to me and they're going to try to pull me in," Milo said. "They're going to say stuff that may not be true or it might be true, but regardless, I can look to Brad and ask him if it's true. If this is how it goes, will I enjoy it, is coach Kehoe cool?
"Coach Kehoe is going to be nice but I don't expect him to be the same way once I'm there, once I'm practicing. I expect him to get on my (back) about everything because that's what it is. I understand that."
The West Hills Chaminade recruit has not figured out his official visit schedule yet. He does plan to take other trips, but the schools have not been determined. His date for Miami is not planned either.
Milo said he promised his parents he would keep his mind open to other options, but that he's quite certain that Miami is the perfect fit for him.
"They still want me to keep my eyes open, keep my horizon open and see everything," Milo said. "They understand I see a future in Miami and I've talked to both of my parents and they say to do whatever feels best. If Miami is the fit then Miami is the fit
"I'm going to make sure to take all my official visits. The biggest thing that all the alumni that have played college football or NFL players I've met in the past they always tell me to take all your visits, it's very important to take all your visits regardless if you're committed or not, you still have to be able to see all your schools, all your options."
