Miller names early favorite

Jordan Miller has not been receiving a lot of recruiting mail but a lot of the coaches who seem him in person want to offer. A solid camp performance in recent weeks has helped him receiver lots of attention as well.
As of Thursday morning, the Oceanside, Calif., athlete had received offers from Washington, Utah, Hawaii and Weber State. Then Washington State and Nevada offered later in the day.

Miller, a 6-foot-2, 165-pound recruit, said Washington is definitely the early leader. He's planning a trip to Seattle in late June and that could be another big step in his recruitment.
"Washington is definitely standing out," Miller said.
"They've had success in the program and I like the coaches. They treat me so well and they seem really interested. They make me feel special."
The Huskies have an early advantage but Miller is really just getting started with the recruiting process. Arizona State has reached out, San Diego State is getting more involved and the Oceanside standout said he could attend the UCLA camp and others this summer.
"A lot of coaches were at the school," Miller said. "They came by and saw me work out. They were looking to offer me and that's how it went.
"Washington stopped by and noticed me. Utah came by the school but they didn't see me work out. They were there a month ago. I didn't hear much from them but they came by and then they offered me that night."
With the Washington offer coming in recently, Miller said he needs to switch his camp schedule around. With everything just getting started, things could really pick up this summer for him.
"I was planning on hitting a lot of camps but after these offers came in I might cut down a little bit," Miller said.
"I was supposed to go to one at San Jose State on June 20 but then Washington wants me to go up there on June 21 so I'll probably go up there."
