Milikin is on the verge of more offers

Woodberry Forest (Va.) Woodberry Forest School safety Carlson Milikin has been busy on the camp circuit. Despite not pulling any more offers to date, Milikin is positioning himself for some down the road.
"I was just at Stanford and before that at Virginia," he said. "Virginia was really good. There was a lot of talent there, but my legs were dead. I did what I could. I haven't heard back from Virginia.

"The Stanford visit I thoroughly enjoyed. I like what the campus and program stood for, the academics stood for. I liked it a lot. Stanford said they have me on both boards, wide receiver and defensive back. They picked up two wide receiver commits recently, so they are going to try to put my application in as a defensive back and if I get through then what I've heard is that I have a good chance of getting a scholarship.
"It's the same situation with Georgia Tech. I'm just waiting on Coach Johnson to pull the trigger. Coach Al Groh says he loves me and they are waiting for Johnson to make the final decision."
At this point, Milikin claims one scholarship from Navy.
Wiped out from the camp circuit to date, Milikin is eyeing perhaps one more camp next month.
"I was thinking about Tennessee," he said. "I got a letter from Coach Dooley."
For Milikin, right now is a waiting game.
"It's pretty much that I like a lot of schools," he said. "The first school that kind of has the guts to offer, that school will quickly jump up to the top. It's just the loyalty and stuff like that.
"Right now, I really like Stanford, Georgia Tech and of course Virginia. I love the campus at Virginia and I've seen the lacrosse thing. I love Virginia Tech's campus and the football program too; I would like to learn more about it. I'm just waiting to see who offers though, the first team that offers will quickly become my top."
