Milikin adds second offer, waiting for more

Offer No. 2 has come for Woodberry Forest, Va. safety Carlson Milikin. The 6-foot-0, 184-pounder discussed the newest offer as well as the latest with his recruitment.
"It's been kind of the same teams, they're kind of slow playing me now," he said. "I picked up an offer from Ohio.

"I haven't visited there, but they are very interested and I would love to go."
Milikin attended a number of other camps this summer and is still waiting word.
"I'm keeping in touch with Coach Lazor at Virginia," he said. "He told me I'll get an answer from them in the next couple days or so. I'm going to call Coach Poindexter to see where I am at.
"I haven't talked to Georgia Tech, but apparently I'm in their top five for defensive backs. I also haven't heard back from Stanford yet."
Of course, Milikin is committed to Virginia for lacrosse and that continues to be an option too.
"If I didn't have Virginia for lacrosse I'd be more nervous about what's going on," he said. "I don't like things being slow played. I don't like recruiting for football right now.
"A lot of school said they want to see my first three game tapes, but I've got to kind of let the lacrosse coach know at Virginia by the end of the summer what I'm going to do. It's kind of a predicament where I need to decide before football starts."
Is he leaning one way?
"Since I don't have any offers, it's probably Virginia lacrosse until I get an offer. I can't decide from Stanford, Virginia or others until I get the offers."
With football starting back up, Milikin is set for a big year.
"I'm getting ready for football, I'm really excited for this year," he said. "I'm a fairly good jammer, jamming at the line. I've gotten a lot better working with the coaches five or six yards off. That's new to me since I'm raw at corner, but I'm learning aspects and the nuances to get better at that."
