Miles waiting to see replacement

Cyler Miles had heard the rumors and even talked to assistant coach Doug Nussmeier about his possible departure from Washington to Alabama but once it happened the Denver (Colo.) Mullen quarterback said he was even a little surprised.
Miles, who committed to Washington in June, said before he makes any further decisions about his recruitment he wants to see who the Huskies will hire at offensive coordinator.
The four-star who shined at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl said he's been told by Washington coach Steve Sarkisian someone should be hired to replace Nussmeier within days.

So Miles is sitting back and waiting.
"I'm sure they'll get someone else just as good if not better so I'm just curious who they'll get in there," Miles said. "Nothing has really drastically changed. I'm just waiting to see who they're going to hire.
"Coach Nuss has talked about it so I wasn't caught too off-guard. I was a little surprised he actually left but he had to do what was best for his family and he did let me know beforehand.
"I was kind of closest with coach Nuss. He was my main recruiter and I talked to him the most so it's unfortunate that he's gone. I'm curious to see who they bring in. I hope it's someone good and with a similar personality and experience. It definitely plays a big role."
Rated as the second-best dual-threat quarterback, No. 35 prospect in the 2012 rankings and first in the Colorado state rankings by Rivals.com, Miles said once the news broke that Nussmeier was leaving he has received calls from other colleges.
At this point, Miles said he wants to wait to see who Washington hires but that he's not against taking other visits just to make sure he made the right decision. No trips have been scheduled yet as Miles remains patient while the Huskies search for Nussmeier's replacement.
"Since the news broke I got a couple calls from a couple schools because of it," Miles said.
"I'm not opposed to (taking visits) because of him leaving but like I said I'm waiting to see who they bring in. Coach (Sarkisian) told me they're going to try to hire someone in the next few days so we'll see."
