Miles honored to receive Army Bowl invite
Growing up, Kameron Miles remembers first coming across the U.S. Army All-American Bowl as he was flipping through the channels. A few years later, he was captivated as Percy Harvin electrified the crowd as a member of the East squad.

Friday morning, Miles found himself in the company of greats such as Percy Harvin, LeSean McCoy, Eric Berry, and Patrick Peterson, as he was presented as a 2013 U.S. Army All-American at West Mesquite High School in Mesquite, Texas.
"It's a very high honor. I never would've thought I would be able to play in it because I'm always watching it," Miles said. "Then to know I got a nomination in the spring was real exciting for me to know it was a possibility to play. Now that I've been invited it's a very big honor."
Playing in the Alamodome on January 5, 2013 is not the only reason the Rivals250 standout is excited about the Army All-American experience.
"One, it's on national television, and two, I'm going to get to see a lot of players I saw at the Opening and the Rivals camp and it's going to be a very fun experience," Miles said. "Then it's in Texas, in San Antonio, so it's like another vacation."
Miles, who is ranked No. 125 in the Rivals250, No. 12 among safeties, and No. 15 in the Texas Top 100, committed to Tennessee in May, but his commitment has not stopped other programs from expressing interest in the talented safety prospect.
"It's going smooth," Miles said of recruiting. "I have Arizona State and UCLA trying to recruit me hard, and I think Georgia is in the picture too."
He has taken official visits to Tennessee and Arizona State, and is planning to schedule a visit with UCLA. Right now though, he is firm in his decision to head to Tennessee.
"I'm still a solid verbal to them," Miles said. "I haven't had any second thoughts about decommitting right now."
Miles is currently the lone Tennessee commitment on the Army All-American roster. He is excited to represent the Volunteers and is looking forward to his days in Knoxville.
"They are improving. I see them coming on the rise," Miles said of Tennessee's football program. "They have a lot of things to work on and I feel I can be that person to improve the defense even more and try to be a leader. I like how the defense plays. I like the coaches too. They all treat me well."
