Miles firms up with USC

One of the most sought after defensive linemen on the west this season was Lawrence Miles (6-3, 265, 4.7) from La Quinta, Calif. Miles committed to USC and then suffered some buyer’s remorse and took some trips to make sure that he made the right choice. Miles is now solidly in USC’s camp.
“I’m not taking anymore trips,” Miles said. “I’m staying here at USC.”

“I enjoyed my Washington trip,” Miles said. “But USC is where I’m going.”
“I am solid and I have reaffirmed my commitment to Pete Carroll,” Miles said. “USC is the place for me and it’s in my heart.”
“My recruitment is done and over.”
USC long the favorite successfully fought off Washington and ASU.
USC lands who Rivals.com rates as the nation’s 18 strong side defensive end prospect in 2004. He is a member of the Rivals.com Super West 60 team where he lands as the region’s number 51 at any position.
Miles was also on the Rivals.com California Top 100 team as the Golden State’s number 37 prospect.
