Miles claims surprising leader

Mebane (N.C.) Eastern Alamance defensive end Nick Miles has had a big start to the season. In regards to recruiting, the 6-foot-2, 255-pounder is waiting as more interest comes in.
"The season is going good," he said. "I've got five sacks in three games. We're 3-0.
"I've seen a huge improvement this year. I'm playing a whole lot faster and I'm reacting to things a lot quicker, my pass rush has gotten better."
In recruiting, Miles holds three offers from Duke, Elon and Western Carolina. Who else is interested?
"East Carolina, NC State, Wake Forest, North Carolina and South Carolina want my senior film," he said. "I am starting to think about taking some visits. I would like to go to an NC State game coming up and maybe one at East Carolina or South Carolina."
Currently the two-star prospect claims a surprising leader.
"One of my top schools right now is Elon," he stated. "I'm looking at them pretty hard and looking to go to one of their games. I like the coaches and everything there; it's a good fit and close to home. I can get playing time early and they have good academics."
