DENVER -- Saturday's Mile High 7-on-7 event had an unmistakably local
feel, as all five teams in attendance were from the state of Colorado. There was
adequate talent on display at the event, though, as some of the best players in
the state showed up to compete.
Below is a list of the top performers from Saturday's tournament, which was held
at Denver's Evie Garrett Dennis School.
Lazzaro's hot offseason contoured at the Mile High 7-on-7, as he contoured to
show off a strong arm and impressive accuracy. It certainly helped his cause
that his wide outs were superior athletes to the defensive backs they faced, but
Lazzaro made his share of impressive throws and crammed the ball through tight
windows. Lazzaro is still awaiting his first scholarship offer and plans to camp

Aurora (Colo.) Rangeview
Hughes has a nice build and an impressive burst. He is capable of playing both
defensive back and wide receiver. His build is closer to that of a cornerback
but he shined on offense in Saturday's setting. Hughes gets off the line
extremely well and served as a lethal deep threat for his team all afternoon.
Hughes is fielding preliminary recruiting interest from a number of schools but
is yet to secure a scholarship offer.

Englewood (Colo.) Cherry Creek
Hall is definite a college prospect and has the speed to play at the FBS level.
His size holds him back to an extent, but he was seemingly everywhere on
Saturday afternoon. Hall was as effective as any prospect at the event and
showcased nice dexterity to go along with his impressive acceleration. He
currently holds one offer -- an invite from Northern Colorado, but larger
programs, including Wyoming and Colorado, are also taking a look.

Denver (Colo.) East
Moore was probably the day's most pleasant surprise. He has the size and closing
speed necessary to play safety at the college level but needs a little bit of
polishing technique-wise. Even still, he made as many plays as any defensive
back in attendance and showed a nose for the football as well as a
hyper-aggressive disposition that resulted in a few inadvertent but jarring
hits. Moore is garnered college interest from Oregon State, Arizona State and
others. His senior season will determine if the buzz gives way to offers.

Colorado Springs (Colo.) Pine Creek
Anderson played wide receiver, cornerback and safety at the event. And while
he'll play corner at the college level, he looked best at safety. Anderson has
some fine-tuning to do at the corner spot but was a contributor at every
position he played. He made his share of plays on defense and scored a handful
of touchdowns on the offensive side of the ball. Anderson is committed to
Nebraska and has not waivered on his pledge.

Englewood (Colo.) Cherry Creek
At 220 pounds, Luke is a power back that could easily function as a fullback if
the offense he played in called for one. He possesses impressive shiftiness for
his size and proved capable of catching the ball out of the backfield on
Saturday. Luke received limited carries as a backup option to UCLA-bound
Nathan Starks and Milo Hall last season but should be a focal point as
a senior. He is yet to receive his first scholarship offer.

Collin Willis (2017)
Colorado Springs (Colo.) Pine Creek
With just one year of high school under his belt, Willis moves extremely well
and possesses impressive instincts. Still, what stands out most about him at
this juncture is his build. A sophomore to be, the 6-foot safety looks like an
upperclassmen already and could develop into a high-level prospect down the road
with the right coaching. He's certainly a name to watch.
