Running back/cornerback Mikell Simpson is one of the fastest players in the Atlantic East region. While he's still looking at a lot of schools, he's managed to narrow things down recently.
The 6-foot-1, 185-pound athlete from Harrisburg, Pa. runs the 40-yard dash in 4.38 seconds and could star on either side of the ball in college. He has offers from all his favorite schools, and has narrowed that list of favorites down to 11.
"I know there's still a lot to do, but I have narrowed things down a little. I'm looking at UCLA, Virginia, Ohio State, Notre Dame, West Virginia, Alabama, Nebraska, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Michigan State. All those schools are even right now. I think coaches can get back on the phones Sept. 1 or around then, so I'll know more when I start talking to them more often."

Has he set up any official visits yet?
"I've got one pretty much set up," he said. "I want to go to UCLA early in December, like the 2nd, 3rd or 4th. I'd like to be there to see them play Southern Cal. It's a real big rivalry down there in California, and they would like me to make it out there. So that's one of my top priorities.
"I don't plan on making my decision until around Signing Day, so I'll probably set the four other official visits up for late November or even after that. I'm not sure where I'll take those though."
