Mike to visit Vandy, Arkansas

Andrew Mike would like to choose a school sometime next month. That's the plan, anyway. The three-star offensive tackle doesn't intend to drag his recruitment out until signing day, but he's not setting an ironclad announcement date or making any promises.
Instead, he'll commit when he gets around to it. Mike has a few more visits to take and some reflection to finish. He also has a small group of frontrunners.

"I'm still waiting to let things play out, but my top three would still be Washington, Vanderbilt and Arizona."
There's a catch, though. Mike visited Washington just before the Huskies' coaching change and has not heard from UW since Chris Petersen took over the program. He still lists Washington as a favorite but is waiting for first contact.
In the meantime, new schools have gotten involved. Mike says Arkansas, Virginia, Nebraska and Purdue have all offered somewhat recently. Mike hasn't closed out his top three. It's subject to change and could do so as he takes additional visits.
"I'll be going to Vanderbilt in January as well as Arkansas in January," Mike said. "Those are the last two trips. Right now, I'm thinking I'd like to choose in January, but it's tentative ."
While Vandy will attempt to use the campus visit to jostle for position among Mike's top three, Arkansas will use its turn to attempt to break into it.
"I've been to all of these schools before," Mike said. "This time, I really want to be able to be there while school is in session and see the atmosphere. I want to be able to hang out with all the players and see if the atmosphere is what I'm looking for."
The No. 61 tackle in America, Mike played his high school career at Tucson (Ariz.) Sabino. He claims more than 17 scholarship offers in total.
