Mike Stoops scores again
Ft. Bend (Texas) Hightower two-star offensive guard Sheldon Watts is back from his official visit to Arizona this weekend, and he’s back with some big news.
“I was leaning toward Arizona State before the weekend, but now I’m committed to Arizona,” Watts, who is 6-foot-3 and 270 pounds, said. “Things really did change when I got out there. I had a great time.”

Watts said he hung out with all the players and in the end coach Mike Stoops was one of the biggest selling points to him.
“I’ve talked to coach Stoops before, but when I got to talk to him again, it made me realize how great of a guy he is,” Watts said. “He’s a great person and really a good coach, too.”
Watts said he still does plan to take official visits to Iowa State next weekend and then to Hawaii on January 30. But he did reiterate that he is solid to Arizona.
“I’m a Wildcat,” he said.
