Mike Jones looking into summer visits

Summer visits are coming for 5-foot-10, 191-pound cornerback Mike Jones. The Harrisburg (Pa.) Bishop McDevitt prospect is looking at taking a couple visits over the next few weeks.
"Next week I'm going to Akron and Michigan State with Julian Harrell," he said. "I'm planning to fly out there and then I'm looking at going to Minnesota sometime.

"I've heard nice things about these campuses and have offers from both of them. I just want to fly out and visit."
The three-star prospect claims a few more schools have offered recently.
"I've got offers from Syracuse, Iowa, Akron, Miami (Ohio), Michigan State and Minnesota," he said. "Michigan State and Minnesota I believe are coming in the mail. I don't have the paperwork, but they are verbals.
"I'm also talking to West Virginia, Virginia Tech and Ole Miss a lot. I'm trying to schedule a time to check out more campuses later this summer. Ole Miss said I've got a verbal while Virginia Tech wants me to come to camp."
Jones is also considering visits to a few other schools including Notre Dame, Michigan, UCLA and Florida State.
Do any colleges lead for Jones services?
"Not really," he said. "I'm kind of close with some of the coaches. The ones I talk to a lot are Pittsburgh, Akron, Minnesota and Syracuse, but they are only leading because I know more about them."
The No. 23 prospect in the Keystone State maintains he isn't planning to decide anytime soon.
"I'll make a decision later, probably after the season," he said. "I'm just looking for somewhere that has good academics, so I have something to fall back on. I know I'm not going to play football at some point in my life. I also want to go somewhere I'll fit in at and have a good chance of playing."
