Andrew Mike started talking to the Arizona State coaches and then after a visit or two the 2014 offensive tackle from Tucson (Ariz.) Sabino landed his first offer from the Sun Devils.
From what he's seen so far, Mike is impressed with how first-year coach Todd Graham is turning around the program and there's definite interest in learning more.
"One day the coach told me to give him a call and I called him and then I went up there to watch spring games and spring scrimmages and go to some barbecues and hang out," Mike said. "After the second one they called and offered.

"I kind of got the idea but it was still a surprise. They've really changed what they've been doing and focusing on character on and off the field. It sounds like a great program they're building."
It has been a hectic time this spring at Tucson Sabino as Mike said coaches from Stanford, Cal, Alabama, BYU, Penn State, Boise State, Oregon, USC, Arizona and Arizona State have stopped by.
"It's been pretty busy," Mike said.
Arizona could be close to offering the 6-foot-7, 260-pound prospect and a busy summer of camps and visits could garner him more offers.
Mike said he plans to camp at Stanford and also visit Cal when he's in Northern California. Stops at BYU and Penn State are also expected.
