Midwest ties intrigue Brown

Jermani Brown has received a lot of attention this offseason because he has proven to be a top 2017 cornerback and he's hoping to hear from even more schools heading into his junior season.
The Calabasas, Calif., four-star prospect recently worked out at Ohio State's Friday Night Lights Camp and the Buckeyes have been showing some interest in recent months.

"I saw a lot of good talent out there," Brown said. "A lot of good wide receivers and defensive backs were out there so it was fun. I went both ways.
"It was fun. They really know a lot about football so it was really good working with those guys."
So far, the 2017 prospect has landed offers from Arizona State, Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, Idaho, Michigan State, Syracuse, Utah and Wisconsin. Plenty of others are showing interest as well.
Ohio State's coaching staff, while interested, said they're still going to watch Brown during his junior season before making a decision on an offer.
"They told me they're waiting and that the process will continue," Brown said.
There could be serious interest from Brown if the Buckeyes come through with an offer.
The Calabasas standout is originally from Missouri and he said going back to the Midwest to play his college football is something he would seriously consider.
"It would mean a lot," Brown said about an Ohio State offer. "I wouldn't mind going back."
Rivals.com rates Brown as the No. 14 cornerback and the No. 115 prospect in the 2017 class.
