Middleton looks to visit ACC school

Winston-Salem (N.C.) Parkland cornerback Douglas Middleton is working to land his first offer. The 6-foot-0, 180-pounder plans to visit one ACC school later this week.
"I'm going to NC State on Thursday for their game," he said. "Hopefully I hear something from them, but nobody has offered me yet.
"NC State has liked me since I went to their camp this summer. But, the secondary coach was supposed to come to my first game. He didn't have a chance to make it, so he just told me to bring my highlights to him on Thursday."
Aside from the Wolfpack, Maryland, Marshall and a majority of the Division I-AA's are interested.
"They are all saying the same thing as NC State, they just want to see my film."
Meanwhile, the season has been going well for Middleton.
"In four games I've got 45 tackles and two interception along with one rushing touchdown," he said. "I feel a big difference in my play this year. I'm bigger; I'm up to 187 or so. I'm also faster and quicker. It's much easier to do everything now."
