Middleton is staying patient

With the summer wrapping up, Winston-Salem (N.C.) Parkland cornerback Douglas Middleton is still waiting on his first scholarship. However, one school is beginning to take a harder look at the 6-foot-0, 180-pounder.
"I'm just getting prepared for the season," he said. "But, I have been receiving major interest from NC State lately. They will be at the first game and I'll probably be taking an unofficial visit there before the season starts."

Middleton claims he has no plans to visit other schools until this fall.
Meanwhile, who else is eyeing the corner?
"There are a few other schools that say they'll be attending one of my first couple games, Wofford said they'll be at one," he said. "A lot more schools are requesting tape including South Carolina and Wisconsin."
Does Middleton like anybody?
"NC State, but I'm having to keep my options open," he said. "I have only been to State one time, but I liked what I saw when I went there for the camp. I just want to get to see more and learn more about the school."
