Middleton is set for busy June

Cornerback Douglas Middleton still hasn't pulled a scholarship to date. With the final week of the May evaluation period here, the Winston-Salem (N.C.) Parkland prospect understands what he needs to do to start landing offers.
"I feel like I'm getting a lot closer to getting an offer, but a lot of schools still want to see what I can run," he said. "They want to know I can run a 4.5.

"Schools are interested though. I just talked to North Carolina the other day on the phone and all of these colleges want to see me do it in front of them at camps."
It's going to be a busy camp schedule for Middleton as he plans to hit up seven schools over the course of the next month.
"There are a few schools who seem to want to pull the trigger, East Carolina and Marshall specifically, the rest of the coaching staff just isn't sure," he said. "I plan to go to Marshall on June 5th, East Carolina on June 6th, South Carolina on June 12th, Wake Forest on June 13th, North Carolina on June 17th, Duke on June 19th and NC State on June 25th.
"I picked seven schools that were the most interested and ones where I'm sure I can get the offer. They all just want to see me in person."
Middleton posted 45 tackles, three interceptions and eight pass breakups as a junior this past season.
