Michigan WR has big goals

Novi, Mich., two-star receiver Brandon Carnegie has one offer on the table, but now that his senior season has started, he's shifting his thoughts to winning games and reaching personal goals.
Carnegie, who is 5-foot-11 and 171 pounds, said he's also worked hard this summer to get even better than last year.

"I'd say I'm probably better at my route running," he said. "A lot of coaches talked to my coaches and told them if I ran better routes they would start looking at me more seriously."
He's noticed an improved game in practice and says he's ready for the first game of the season.
"I'm feeling pretty confident," he said. "I've had some pretty good games in the first game before. I think we're going to have a pretty good season. We have a lot of newcomers, but I think we'll be pretty good."
"I'd like to be all-state and have better stats than last year," he said. "I want to go farther than last year. We lost in the first round of the playoffs last year to a team that we beat like 30-14 at the beginning of the season."
When it comes to recruiting Carnegie does have an offer from Ball State. He camped this summer at Ohio State and Ball State. He said Vanderbilt recently started to send him more and more mail, plus he's got a list of teams he hopes to hear from again on September 1 – the first day college coaches can call again.
"Northwestern would be nice," he said. "Also Miami has been talking to me recently, too. I don't really know much about them yet though. Vanderbilt want me to send in some film after the first couple of games."
