Michigan State first to offer Florida WR

Former Tampa (Fla.) Plant receiver Mike Williams made a splash this season on the college football scene by earning college All-America honors.
While this was going on, his replacement at receiver at Plant was also making a name for himself. And now Corey Brown is next in line to go on to college and become a star.

The 6-foot-2, 195-pound Brown is getting recruiting interest early on from USC, Michigan State, Michigan, Florida, Miami, Pittsburgh and Purdue. He already has an offer from Michigan State.
“I’m not scared to go across the middle,” Brown, who caught 43 passes for 720 yards and 10 touchdowns as a junior, said.
“I also think I have great hands. I’m also a great blocker and have good speed.”
Brown said he grew up a Florida Gator fan, but isn’t in a rush to make a decision.
“I think the campus itself is going to be important in my college decision,” Brown, a first-team all-Hillsborough, second-team all-Suncoast and first-team all-conference pick as a junior, said.
“I want to be at a school where I’m comfortable and like the people around me. I’m also going to be interested to see how I can feel around the coaches.”
The battle for Brown could be interesting if USC steps up and offers a scholarship. With Williams already in California and former Plant quarterback at Michigan State, Brown’s recruitment could be fun to watch.
