Parks Gissinger continues to be pursued by schools across the country.

After his official visit to Michigan State, though, it sounds like the three-star defensive end is all but locked up to the Spartans.

Gissinger’s second visit to East Lansing only solidified his commitment even more.

“It was an amazing trip,” Gissinger said.

“My second time back there and it already feels like home. I got to meet more of the players and experience game day. It was surreal and the win against Iowa was big. The college in general is like no other. It's a really special place.”

The West Hills (Calif.) Chaminade standout loved the game-day environment and the school in general.

A big part of why Michigan State won out in his recruitment was because of the Spartans’ coaching staff and Gissinger had a phenomenal experience spending time with them this weekend.

“Best coaching staff around by far, all across the board,” Gissinger said.

“Coach (Mark Dantonio) is a really good coach and a good guy. It's a place where they teach you how to be a man, and excel and conquer, not just football.

“I love my position coach, coach (Mark) Snyder, as well. Great coach who I am looking forward to play for.”

Gissinger has landed other offers from Boston College, Colorado State, Harvard, Iowa State, Kentucky, Nevada, Princeton, San Diego State, Syracuse, Vanderbilt and Yale.

No other visits are expected at this time.
