Michigan star makes commitment

Two weeks ago, Midland (Mich.) H.H. Dow two-star running back Jalen Parmele was talking about how he thought Toledo would be a good spot to play his college football at, yet he hadn’t committed quite yet. But that’s changed now.

“I committed to Toledo the other day,” Parmele, who is 6-foot and 200 pounds, said. “When the Toledo coaches came by to visit my house, I felt confident that I was making the right choice. I knew them from this summer when I went down there to watch them. I know how they run practices, and I liked what I saw.

“I’m excited.”

Parmele picked the Rockets over Central Michigan, Western Michigan and Eastern Michigan. He had offers from all of those teams. He is set to visit Toledo this weekend.
