Michigan sleeper drawing interest

"Notre Dame, Michigan State, Harvard, Stanford, Western Michigan, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Purdue have all been in contact," Grand Rapids (Mich.) Forest Hills Northern offensive lineman Jared Veldheer said. "I get mail and stuff from all of them."
"Notre Dame, Stanford, and Michigan State are probably my three favorites."

The 6-foot-8 and 270 pound Veldheer was brought up to the varsity near the end of his sophomore year. He played tight end the first three games of his junior season before moving to offensive tackle. A power blocker, Veldheer bench presses 300 pounds and squats 500. He has a 3.6 GPA and scored a 24 on the ACT.
