Michigan leads for Carolina DL

Conway, S.C. defensive lineman Hivera Green, with 18 offers in total, has recently named a list of five schools that stand out in front for the Palmetto State standout. Michigan has been a front-runner for the 6-foot-5, 271-pound stud, but the other schools rounding out his top five may be gaining ground going into his official visits.
“Michigan is still my leader, but I plan to take all five of my official visits before reaching a decision,” explained Green. “As of right now, my other four visits would be to Florida, Florida State, Kansas State, and Virginia Tech.”

Michigan, Virginia Tech, and Florida are the schools recruiting Green the hardest going into the regular season according to Hivera. He had these comments for each of the schools in his top five.
“Michigan always puts a winning team on the field and they have first rate facilities,” admitted Green. “Florida and Florida State always put a lot of kids in the NFL and I was born down there. Kansas State just has an aggressive defense and Virginia Tech is one of the schools coming at me the hardest.”
Green is in no hurry to make a decision and likely won’t even announce dates for his official visits until sometime after the upcoming season concludes.
“The upcoming season is my first priority,” admitted Green. “I probably won’t make a decision until close to signing day, therefore I have lots of time to think about recruiting after the season.”
A powerful player up front, Green is quick of the snap of the football and causes constant havoc for opposing quarterbacks.
“I love chasing the quarterback and never give up on a play no matter how far downfield the play is,” expressed Green. “I strive to continue to improve my strength and quickness, but my motor never stops on the field.”
Green is looking for another big season in which he can hopefully lead Conway to having a shot at playing for the state title. Conway has begun practice and will open the season August 27th against St. James.
