Before 2018 tight end Mustapha Muhammad took a trip up to Ann Arbor for a visit to Michigan, he passed through Atlanta for the Rivals Five-Star Challenge Presented by Under Armour. Mustapha is becoming more and more familiar with the southeast, a region that has been keen on the Texas recruit.
More than just SEC teams have been making a play for him recently, Michigan was one of the earlier programs in on Muhammad, who offered him in November of 2015. Ohio State joined the race shortly thereafter, and Muhammad says that those two teams have been among the most present in his recruitment as of late.
In his words | Michigan & Ohio State:
“I think both schools are great programs and they have lots of success over there,” he said. “They put people in the league all the time but Michigan has a lot of tight ends, I think they have like 10 on their roster. Ohio State does a great job of using the tight end and just put (Nick Vannett) in the league.”
